D. Jacovitch Photographic Art by Dan Jacovitch
I became interested in photography in the late 1970s. My first big purchase, after getting my first job at the age of 16, was a nice 35mm Minolta camera. I went on to do some color developing at home. A subsequent career in computing and research along with family obligations limited my photographic pursuits for a while.

The advent of digital photography paired with my computing expertise has reawakened my love of photography over the past several years. I have implemented a process which uses computer scripts to generate mats that can be well matched to the digital image. I use an Epson 1160 printer, Enhanced Generations pigmented inks and Royal Renaissance 19mil paper to produce my work.

I now commute daily through Central Kentucky, always with camera at-the-ready. I find that the varied climate and scenery of the region offers unlimited material from which I have built a fairly extensive portfolio.
